Coming Soon... Anna Murphy, Founder of Pink Ink Realty as the "Nova Scotia Real Estate Expert" on HGTV's new series Live Here, Buy This.
Live Here, Buy This is coming to Halifax in 2012, featuring Anna Murphy, owner of the local brokerage firm Pink Ink Realty. Anna was chosen as the local real estate expert, an opportunity that allowed her to help put Halifax real estate on the map for HGTV’s international television audience.
Anna traveled with cast and crew from HGTV’s Live Here, Buy This to showcase eight different properties in the area and to highlight the diverse selection of Halifax real estate that is available for buyers in the area.
Local buyers were not present at the time of showing. The features truly were the houses and properties themselves.
Anna showed one South End heritage home, filled with original features as well as modern updates, and another very different lakefront log house in the area. Another property featured unique architectural designs, and still another had Juliette balconies off the master ensuite.
Distinct, diverse and beautiful, the eight properties showcase some of the best of Halifax real estate. HGTV’s Live Here, Buy This episodes featuring Anna Murphy will air on four different episodes in the fall of 2012.

Anna Murphy, owner of Pink Ink Realty, Ltd. has just announced the launch of their exclusive Pink Ink Database of commercial properties in HRM. This innovative resource will allow property owners to maintain privacy and provide developers with access that is all in one place.
The Database will assist commercial property owners in maintaining a low level of exposure regarding their intent to sell, while still allowing for access to potential buyers who qualify for and are interested in these large types of transactions.
Registered buyers and investors will be provided access to properties that match their price range, upside potential and/or ROI criteria. Buyers would have access to commercial properties that are not necessarily listed for sale, however the owner has opted to sell. The buyers then have the opportunity to choose which property is the best fit for their investment goals.
The Pink Ink Database will accept property details for raw and commercial land or large pieces of land either within or outside the serviceable boundary in the HRM. It would include existing commercial property either owner-occupied or tenanted, proposed/approved or built-out mixed use properties, apartment buildings, hotels and office towers.
Owners who want to have their commercial properties in the HRM registered in the Pink Ink Database will submit property details confidentially and sign a non-disclosure non-circumvent confidentiality agreement with Pink Ink. The real estate specialists at Pink Ink would then match database listings against their current list of active, pre-qualified buyers who are also under a non-disclosure non-circumvent confidentiality agreement. When matches are identified, the deal is then put together by the Pink Ink team.

Bird Construction Inc. broke ground on the $11-million, 36,000 square-foot, class A, two-storey building a little more than three weeks ago and work is on schedule so far.
“We’re fully on board for mid-May,” said Anna Murphy of Pink Ink Realty Ltd., the exclusive broker for the project.
More than half of the space has been accounted for, with less than 15,000 square feet remaining, Murphy said.
Murphy declined to reveal who the future tenants will be, but she said the new building represents a good opportunity for established businesses looking to lease or own.
“It would be business owners that want to own their own commercial space. Businesses that would be most attractive, I feel, would not be starter businesses, but businesses that have sort of been around for a little while.”
The building is positioned near several access points and is conveniently located, which will at attractive to future tenants.
“Basically, it’s located just off Highway 102, so it would be great for someone to access it from either Fall River, or Bedford or Lower Sackville,” Murphy said.
The building, which was also designed by Bird Construction, is being built with energy-efficient standards in mind.
“We’re using enhanced glazing systems to capture and retain heat in the winter and reject solar gain in the summer,” Murphy said in a phone interview. “And it’s designed with tilt-up concrete wall panels. The exterior concrete envelope is durable and low maintenance.”
